Analyze
In today’s technological age we each have access to lots of data about our company or business. But having access to the data is just not enough. Just like buying an exercise bike because you want to lose weight - it will never happen unless you actually begin pedaling. The same goes with data today. You can gather it and have the ability to run all kinds of reports – but if you don’t collect it right or know how to analyze the data and spend the time crunching the data – the data alone will do you no good.
At PLEXUS we are analyzing junkies…just feed us the data and watch us go to work – we turn data into information. We are hired to analyze:
  • Business Processes
  • Plans/Projects
  • Construction Projects
  • Software Development
  • Existing Software
  • Data from all of the above
Some of the projects that excited us the most have involved analyzing existing software for RISLA, analyzing massive amounts of data and working with GRA on a new $100 million highway, and revamping the bidding process for RIDOT. Here are a few more details:
Rhode Island Student Loan Authority
We were hired to analyze their existing software and its capabilities. RISLA was using canned software and while some of its capabilities were a fit, almost ½ of it was not. Our analysis allowed us to uncover the deficiencies and build software that meet their specific needs. The analysis allowed us to ensure their software did everything they needed and nothing it didn’t.
Rhode Island Department of Transportation
The bidding process at DOT was cumbersome and inefficient, at best. We were hired to analyze the process. This involved examining all the policies, procedures and data from the unions, state employees, multiple computer systems and multitudes of processes some of which had been in place for 30+ years. Through this analysis we were able to modify the process saving DOT over $1 million in that first year.
Gordon R. Archibald Inc
This project is a new $140 million freeway containing over 14 miles of new freeway, three major interchanges, 14 new bridges, extensive facilities to control water runoff, and all the other complexities that go with this type of project. PLEXUS involvement included the program and financial plan, constructability, schedule monitoring and claims management.
