Available for download below is the new version of Quest Lite that must be installed on your computer in order to bid on all RIDOT contracts after September 14, 2005. We strongly recommend when completed with upgrade to the New Quest Lite Version, to send a confirmation e-mail to quest@dot.state.ri.us. We also recommend creating a test bid file through the New Quest Lite Version and sending this file to quest@dot.state.ri.us.

1. You must currently have the 040405 (2.8.1) Quest Lite Version or higher on your machine in order to use this upgrade.
2. You must already have registered with RIDOT Contracts Administration and have your Digital ID to use this upgrade.
3. If you do not currently have the 040405 (2.8.1) Quest Lite Version or higher on your machine, please visit RIDOT Contracts Administration to obtain the 040406 (2.8.2) Quest Lite Version which will already contain the upgrade.
4. Although this upgrade should not affect any contract data currently in your Quest Lite machine, it is imperative that you back-up your Quest Lite directory and all data contained therein before executing the upgrade.
5. Please review the instructions before executing the upgrade to your Quest Lite Program.
   

1. Be sure that Quest Lite is closed on your machine.
2. After downloading the Quest Lite Upgrade.exe file from this website, using the mouse double-click on the Quest Lite Upgrade.exe file.
3. When prompted for a password, enter " ridot ".
4. You will be guided through the rest of the setup process.
5. When executing Quest Lite the first time after executing the upgrade patch, you may be prompted for your Digital ID. If this is the case, it is important that you enter the exact same Digital ID as used before.
